REAP: Ephesians 2:1-10

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,"

-Ephesians 2:4

I am so thankful for the HOPE that begins in verse 4. If I stopped reading at verse 3 I would only experience doom and gloom. I am reminded of the mercy and grace that God offers that brings me life. Twice in this short passage Paul talks about what Jesus did for me. I am saved by grace (vs5-8).

This passage has become one that I like to share with folks - it shows us that we can't save ourselves - it is a gift from God that I must choose to accept.

I need to live sharing kindness and forgiveness to those I encounter. I need to understand that when I live with unrepentant sin in my life I can not be Jesus to the people that I meet. His "immeasurable riches" are displayed through me!

God help me to help the people I encounter understand this gift from God is not because of any human effort, but your grace and mercy!
